SCHEDULE of BOARD MEETINGS
All meetings are scheduled the fourth Thursday of designated
months, with the exception of November and December, and unless
otherwise changed.
All meetings are open to the public.

Pursuant to Ala. Code §13A-14-2 (commonly referred to as the
“Sunshine Law”), the meetings of the State of Alabama Home Builders
Licensure Board are open to the public. The Sunshine Law and the
Alabama courts have recognized two exceptions to this public meeting
requirement: (1) meetings in which the good name or character of an
individual is involved; and, (2) meeting in which the Board
discusses litigation with its attorney.
The public may be placed on the Board’s agenda and allowed to
address the Board on subject matters deemed to be appropriate under
its jurisdiction. All requests to appear on the agenda must be
submitted in writing 30 days prior to the scheduled board meeting,
and must be signed by the person requesting to appear on the agenda.
Persons who wish to be placed on the Board’s agenda should contact
the Board’s office at 1-800-304-0853, and ask for a “Request to
Appear on Board Agenda” form.
Only requests that are appropriate subject matter to be heard in a
Board meeting forum will be considered. Persons requesting to appear
on the agenda will be notified in writing of the Board’s response.
The time period allocated for persons to present oral information to
the Board is 20 minutes. Persons may also submit in writing any
additional information they would like to present to the Board. |
